Still using my car to review music! That's the Andrew© way!
I don't know why though, I mean what's the point in having a kick-ass stereo system if you use your cheapo car CD player..
Anyway..

I desperately wanted to use the phrase "buying pirated movies funds terrorism and will bring about the downfall of society" but I couldn't think of a way to fit it in. That's a FACT, by the way. Those zany copyright protection people...

I think that this review is rather pointless, really, as I'm sure everyone already knows by now that it's awesome. Oh well. Added today: Half-Life 2

So far, my trip to America has allowed me to see three films that I don't have to drag my girlfriend along to back home. Hellboy, I, Robot and this, The Bourne Supremacy.

You're only getting one review though, because hey, I'm on holiday. Woo. And such. Did you guys know that there's Cherry Coke on tap at your cinemas. How cool is that?

You aren't getting an I, Robot review because it didn't actually make any lasting impression on me. Well, apart from me coming out of the cinema wanting a pair of Converse All Stars, and then to order up a brand new JVC CD player and get it delivered by Fed Ex. It's hard to review adverts, so you don't get one. Sorry. Anyway, on with the show.

Oh. Oh. Oh, wait. I forgot to mention something.

Dear Hollywood,
Fuck you. Why did you have to re-make Taxi? Why? Why re-make one of my favourite films into some Hollywood shitfest set in New York? Why have bikini-clad girls robbing banks? Ok, so I know the answer to that one, but still, fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you in the ear. Twice.
love,
-andrew

Buck your ideas up, Lancashire... This is a big film. It's obviously a big film as 4 days after its release, and even on the latest showing, people were still cramming themselves into the cinema as the trailers for other, completely unrelated films rolled on the screen. And this wasn't a small cinema, it was the Filmworks. A cinema where out of 20 screens, 2 of them are Imax and the rest just freaking huge.

We shouldn't have had to drive an hour there and an hour back, nearly get lost in Manchester city centre and spend my had earned money on a Pizza Hut dinner because the McDonalds were all closed. We should've just been able to do what we normally do... Cruise into the Blackpool Odeon five minutes before the film starts and still manage to get good seats.

Oh well, it was most definitely worth it. Let's just hope we don't have to go through the same palaver when Zach Braff's 'Garden State' comes out...

That's it. I'm not having an opinion around my friends ever again.

I gave up talking about music when they started answering questions for me with "no, Andy won't like that because people will have heard of it." So what if I like a few bands that they haven't heard of? Apparently if more than three people like a band, I won't. It pissed me off constantly explaining that that isn't true, and that they're basing that off the fact that I stopped listening to Feeder after Echo Park came out. But seriously, Echo Park was shit. I mean, really shit. They went from the masterpiece that was Yesterday Went Too Soon to the cheesey tripe that was Echo Park. Anyway.

So I'm giving up talking about movies with them now. Why? No-one cares, I know. But I can use this space to write things, so I'm going to write. Because of trailers, and the fact that I didn't want to see The Day After Tomorrow because it didn't look like my type of film. All of a sudden I'm this ogre that hates every film out there. "What? You don't like the look of Catwoman? It's got Halle Berry. She's won awards. It's got to be good."

So, enough with the angst, on with the reviewing... Anj, if you'll do the honours...
